Sprayer Calibration Clinics – June 2019

The PEI Potato Board and the PEI Horticultural Association are hosting a series of short workshops on Sprayer Calibration Procedures and Field Information Tools. Ken Lingley of On Target Sprayer Services will demonstrate calibration procedures and worksheets for ground sprayers in order to meet requirements under Canada GAP food safety program. Tailgate discussions will then be given on quick access tools and updates for producers in the field (weather data, pesticide labels, satellite field maps, buffer zones, pesticide labels, Smartphone Apps, etc.).  This information will be provided by staff from PMRA, PEI Dept. of Agriculture and Land, and the PEI Dept. of Environment, Water and Climate Change.

All three clinics will start at 9:30am, sharp.

Dates and locations for the three workshops are:

  • June 19th, 2019 at MacLennan Properties Ltd., West Cape.  Field location: Corner of O’Leary Road rte 142 and MacDougall Road rte 141, civic address #4420, O’Leary Rd.
  • June 25th, 2019 at Klondike Farms, Wilmot Valley.  Field location: Laneway between civic #248 and 260 on the Blue Shank Road.
  • June 26th, 2019 at Townshend Potato Company Ltd., Rollo Bay West. Field location: field across from civic address #132, rte 308, park in farmyard and walk across road to the clinic.
