Most growers would be aware of the current special on soil health testing from the PEI Analytical Lab via the PEI Department of Agriculture & Land.  This new test takes into account not just the chemical properties of soil but also physical and biological attributes of your soil.

The Department has provided a good factsheet that provides an overview of the new tests available and how to interpret results.

As well, the Department is hosting a series of 2 hour workshops in the new year to discuss soil health testing on the following dates:

Tuesday, January 14th, 2020     7-9 pm      AIC Building, Kensington

Tuesday, January 21st, 2020     1-3 pm      AAFC Research Station, Charlottetown

Thursday, January 23rd, 2020    6-8 pm     Cavendish Farms Wellness Centre, Montague

Tuesday, January 27th, 2020     1-3 pm      Access PEI, O’Leary
